Coming Soon: Cinematic Void At the Los Feliz 3
Updated: May 20
Get ready! Cinematic Void will be returning for in-theatre screenings in Los Angeles starting in late July/early August.
Since the Egyptian Theatre is currently under renovation, we're pleased to announce our new home away from home will be over at the Los Feliz 3 as part of the American Cinematheque's residency.
And guess what? We will be able to screen in glorious 35mm there too!
For those of you who live on the westside, we will also be doing screenings at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica as well from time to time.
We're not quite ready to announce what our first screening will be quite yet, but you can expect our brand of gonzo film programming with curated pre-shows and more will light up the silver screen once again.
You can read more below about the American Cinematheque at the Los Feliz 3 Theatre:
Due to the Egyptian Theatre closing for renovation until late 2022, the American Cinematheque has partnered with the Los Feliz 3 Theatre and will be operating 7 days a week to showcase films, Q&As, and special events beginning late July. The Los Feliz 3 has installed reel-to-reel 35mm projectors in the theatre which is a major part of the AC’s ongoing programming. This new partnership has staunch support from key players in the industry:
“I've been a member of the Cinematheque for a long time, and I'm glad I can help support their mission by providing a home for the American Cinematheque's programming at the Los Feliz,” said Vintage Cinemas CEO Lance Alspaugh.
The Black List founder and AC Board Member, Franklin Leonard added, "Los Feliz has been my home for more than a decade, and the Los Feliz Theatre, along that glorious stretch of Vermont between Russell and Melbourne, has been a staple of the neighborhood for much longer. Having AC programming there is an ideal fit, for the neighborhood and for me personally. A perfect post-pandemic gift."
